Growing our overall love and knowledge for our flying friends! Birdfest 2025 is a weekend full of activities to shape our minds as “Bird Nerds” during the migratory season. With 30 events in the field and in the classroom, I tagged along to soak in the joy come to life as spring rolled back to the Pacific Northwest.
Squatchcon 2025

It’s the Northwest’s cosplay festival of the year! Named after a creature home to our region, Squatchcon is the place where art comes to life. People young and old come to share their love for the fantasy world and tell the stories of how it surrounds us. Over 30 events compiled into 4 days including workshops, panel discussion, parties to cultivate space for the love of art and the connections within it.
