Me turns to we.

Where We’ve Been:

My name is Jayson Moorman and I’m founder of Explore Moor. Community was instilled in me from a young age as something we get to cultivate each and every day. Going to school in the mountains of North Carolina taught me community is word that not only extends beyond humankind but intertwines all life itself. Natural spaces and the freedom to embrace them have are not limited to where you are, or who you are. Graduation came, went and I promptly set out to explore our lands across the country. What was supposed to be a simple summer as a bellman in Yellowstone, blossomed into what could be thanks to our natural world.

The journey has brought me to live and love the Pacific Northwest. Portland and The Beaver State called to me for some reason and it continues to show me the path. This path that leads to doing my part to make our world a place we can all be proud of.

Where We Are:

My Guide Life!

“Jayson is such a pure and fun person. His energy is contagious...he just brings out the good in people.” - Guest, Adventures by Disney Wyoming Trip

That’s a tougher question than you may think! After becoming an adventure guide for Adventures by Disney, I now have the opportunity to show people sights and activities of the area while depicting my love for the enjoyment that is unfolding before me. Along with various “offices,” I spend time elsewhere as a photographer for beautiful destinations such as the Mount Rainier National Park, the San Juan Islands, and more. The push for equal representation has steered my activism efforts in the Northwest to offer more experiences for people of color to try adventures out of our wildest dreams.

“Working with Jayson Moorman at Explore Moor has been a pleasure. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a reliable and talented travel influencer.” - Meilee Anderson, Marketing Consultant, Visit Rainier

Where To Next?

Come with us

It’s my favorite question because I never have the answer. One thing I’ve learned is to worry less about where we’re going and focus on where we’re at now. Whatever “next” is, I know it will include more people that look like me, who dream of goals even bigger than mine.
